The Court Jester

I was depressed and angry when I drew this little guy, but I still kept some of my humor!
"Court Jester" is a play-on words because, as you can tell he's sitting on a basketball hoop.
I usually hate basketball so I honestly don't know how I thought of this, but maybe I've always wanted to try sitting on the rim, looking over the court like that. I'd be afraid that I'd fall off (especially with one that looks as beat up as this one!) But you know what, if an NBA hoop can hold up Shaq when he dunks I'm sure it could hold me.
As far as the drawing goes, I absoluetly love the shading on the jester himself! I didn't think it would turn out so good! I was considering whether or not to right the word "Laugh" vertically on the left side of the picture but I decided that it would take away from the main center of attention.
Basically I'm pretty sad that I drew something scary like this, but I'm very pleased with how it came out.
Comments on what you think, guys? What does the Jester look like to you? Should I have kept the word "Laugh" in there? Should I have colored the Jester's clothes? Details people! Talk it up!
